RSD welcomed its 2.5 millionth guests

And our anniversary holidaymakers were met with a wonderful surprise in Dubai.

Reiner and Annemarie Lipps really had no idea. Together with their RSD travel group*, they arrived in Dubai from Frankfurt after a pleasant flight. Ahead of them lay an eight-day travel adventure in this unique Arabian mega-city. Booked completely normally. With two top hotels. With fantastic excursions. With palm island. And much more. The sprightly pensioners from the Ortenau district in southern Baden boarded a traditional dhow on the first evening. The boat glided along the Dubai Creek past a fantastically illuminated skyline.

Then Mesut Güvenc reached for the on-board microphone. The RSD representative for the holiday region reported to the guests: In the approximately 16 years since its founding, RSD has shown an incredible 2.5 million guests the most beautiful places around the world. And exactly today and now, these 2.5 millionth guests are present here on board. Namely, Reiner and Annemarie Lipps! Applause broke out, congratulations were given, and the couple were toasted with champagne. They were quite taken aback. “We’ve never been photographed so much before, we were the stars of the evening,” they recall with a smile. And then they really had something to celebrate. Because as an anniversary gift, our RSD representative presented them with a travel voucher worth 2,000 euros.

In the next few days, we can say, things really took off. Also for our jubilarians. „It is hardly imaginable what we were offered, what wonderful experiences we were able to enjoy. You have to see it for yourself; it is difficult to put into words,“ is how they sum up their impressions and would like to give their RSD Dubai holiday the highest possible grade – an „A plus“.

The fact that this anniversary trip also went perfectly is something that particularly pleases RSD Managing Director Horst Zsifkovits: “2.5 million RSD guests so far – we are a little proud of that. Because this enormous number, the high level of customer satisfaction and the many regular guests, all this shows: People trust us.” The combination of high performance, absolute reliability and a unique range of travel options, as he knows, has made RSD one of the leading European tour operators for study trips.

In Dubai, our two jubilarians not only visited the enormous Dubai Mall or the breathtaking Atlantis Hotel with its gigantic aquarium. From the sky-high Burj Khalifa, they gazed down from a height of 555 metres at beautifully illuminated water fountains. On the 27th floor of the world-exclusive, sail-shaped luxury hotel Burj Al Arab, they reverently sipped their cocktails. “It was simply crazy,” they say when they look back on it. On an evening boat trip, they marvelled at the yachts and the futuristic architecture of the skyscrapers in the Dubai Marina district. They were especially fascinated by the immense dimensions of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, one of the largest in the world. Its halls and courtyard can accommodate 40,000 worshippers. Last but not least: on their day off, they sunbathed on the magnificent beach of their 5-star luxury hotel on the Palm Island. “When else do you get to do that in November?” they look back with a touch of wistfulness.

She was truly impressed by Ali – her ever-present companion: “He was the best tour guide we have ever had. With tremendous knowledge. In perfect German. Always very warm-hearted. You absolutely must mention that!” request our esteemed anniversary guests from Ortenau.
